In our daily lives we operate with two types of mind – conscious and subconscious. The conscious mind is responsible for thoughts and logic, while subconscious uses instincts and conditioning. There are two special types of instinct that deal with survival, which are known as the fight or flight response.
If we believe that we have a chance of winning, we get into a fight and if not, we run away. These so-called fights can take on forms and range from actual physical confrontations to verbal fights with friends and family. The subconscious mind is subject to conditioning that you have acquired over the years through your five senses as well as physical activities, such as learning how to walk, run, dance, etc. There are many activities that were learned how to perform from the day we were born until about 48 hours ago that have now become part of our subconscious mind.
