When you allow your life to run based on your subconscious mind, you automatically enter a state of sleep. At the same time, you should not overload your conscious mind with irrelevant thoughts to be in an awake state, either. What you should do, however, is maintain the balance between the conscious and the subconscious to achieve the results that you strive for.
Since your subconscious mind is part of your conditioning, you need to become aware of yourself at all times. The moment you relax, you immediately begin to act based on your conditioning and fall back asleep. As this happens, you lose control of your life and subject yourself to influence and pressure from the people and events around you.
The conscious mind is another very important part of our psyche because it is responsible for retrieving information stored in memory and generating thoughts. Every single thought that arises – whether it is useful or destructive – is a product of the conscious mind. Some thoughts can provide solutions to our day-to-day problems, while others create problems by generating trains of useless and irrelevant thoughts that only sap your energy and have nothing to do with the reality of life. Positive and constructive thoughts can even improve your health.
